Chotsani Williams West,

Director of Student Mentoring, Adelphi University

Chotsani Williams West serves as the Director of Student Mentoring and as an adjunct professor at Adelphi University. She obtained a Master’s degree from Adelphi in Educational Leadership & Technology and holds professional certifications from Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City Center for Training & Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service: Skills to Mentor Youth and Mentoring Supervision. She has a fulfilling career spanning over 20 years in youth development, mentoring leadership, school reform and social services.

With a flair and natural affinity for public speaking, Chotsani coaches and guides youth and adults on evidence-based best practices for mentoring and youth development programs and shares techniques for effective public speaking. She also facilitates diversity-training sessions while lending her expertise to panel discussions and radio programs such as 1240AM WGBB. Chotsani is a sought after presenter for not for profit organizations including but not limited to Mentor New York, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of New York City, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.’s Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and Successful and Victorious Youth (S.A.V.Y). As an instinctive mentor to young people, she encourages others to do the same.

Currently, Chotsani is pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Diverse Learning Communities from Molloy College.
